500 hijabs, 10 winners and almost half a million comments
Our giveaway with @zannist became the biggest moment in Laura Veils' story so far. Here is what it taught us.
When we planned the 500 Moja Hijabs Giveaway with @zannist, we hoped it would bring a few new faces to our page. It did far more.
The numbers
The giveaway post went on to collect around 36,000 likes and almost 500,000 comments. Ten winners each received 50 Moja hijabs, 500 in total.
What we learned
- Women across the GCC wanted in: the reach went far beyond the UAE.
- Friends recommend friends: entering meant tagging them.
- Giving generously is a good way to say thank you to a community.
What came next
By May 2025 the shop carried more than 300 Moja shades.
